Food Day 2014 Farm Volunteer Week End
Join theMOVE as we spend Food Day 2014 week end, camping and volunteering on a lush sustainable farm, at Bay End Organic Farm, Buzzards Bay, MA, established in 1906. This is a unique chance to immerse yourself in an organic farm experience, local food and good company.
The $120 trip fee includes:
Transportation (via carpool) to and from location. Central pick up in Boston and one other location, to be determined based on participants.
Accommodations - cabin accommodations or tent, and sleeping bags and equipment, if you do not have your own. Access to modern restrooms, hot showers - indoors and outdoors, and comfortable spaces for meals.
Communal Meals - Daily Farm to Table breakfast + lunch + dinner on Saturday, breakfast + lunch on Sunday, and your choice of wholesome snacks. Most of the food will be sourced on the farm or from near by farms, markets.
Other group activities, may include highly camp fire and leisure trips to a local state parks. As determined by the group.
Limited scholarships available to students or needs based applicants.
