SEEDS is a platform for professional creative companies to present quality pieces and works in progress, spanning the realms of Circus Arts, Dance, Theatre, Live Music, Projection, and Performance Art.
Fostering a foundation of experimentation and growth within the New York community, SEEDS creates connections between cutting-edge companies seeking sustainable structure and growth.
SEEDS values the cultivation of collaborations and relationships that bring individual artists together to make work that pushes the potential of each individual collective towards exponential evolution, embracing the Hybrid Movement Philosophy that together we are more than the sum of our parts.
The concept of 'Seeds' was born in a Brooklyn hallway. In short, a group of NYC based artists collectively created a performance platform which seeks other creatives to together look at things from a different vantage point and share their work: Dancers, Circus performers, Vocalists, Musicians, Actors, Mimes, Poets, Artists, Architects, adventurers of all kinds and smart asses of all natures.
Seeds is a new program focussed on supporting the development of new works or works in progress, shaping relationships among artists, artworks, performance spaces, community audiences, and the performance forum for presenting, expressing and sharing creative developments. It aims to highlight and cultivate the wealth of high caliber talent here in New York.
Creators adore subverting the status quo, deconstructing common perceptions, and rebuilding things all over again in their own ways.

HYBRID MOVEMENT COMPANY Co-Founded in 2008 by Françoise Voranger and Jillian St.Germain, what began as a conversation of movement between professional performers has developed into a form of physical expression unto its own. Hybrid Movement is a style influenced by the technical aspects of Circus, Ballet, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Bboying, Waving and Animation. HMC's core creative team celebrate unity and diversity through collaboration. Their unique and inspiring live performances have been presented at NY City Center, Lincoln Center, Bolshoi Theatre Russia, SummerStage NYC fest's MainStage in Central Park,Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts and more. CONSTELLATION MOVING COMPANY is a multidisciplinary project-based collective specializing in content-rich concert collages of circus, dance, text, video and physical theater. Founded in 2009 by Maia Ramnath and Lori Barber, the core collective now consists of Ramnath, Scott Combs and Satomi Shikata, with a larger circle of frequent collaborators. Its structure is designed to support close collaboration while also allowing space for exploring each individual voice. Our desire is to bring together all our various skills and mediums, to expand what can be done with them in combination, to share meaningful art with as many people as possible.
URBAN CIRCUS NYC is a cutting edge creative company specializing in Innovative Education, Performance, and Production. In addition to offering a full schedule of classes and running a non-profit for underprivileged children, they have created hundreds of acts for stage and screen as well as their own full-length theatrical shows and immersive experiences. Founder and Director Seanna Sharpe also recently launched a collection in New York Fashion Week, and will be expanding the clothing line along with the non-profit internationally in Lebanon, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Serbia, French Guiana, Papua New Guinea, and Zimbabwe.
