Without changing the foot print of a dated 1970s beach house, the structure was completely remodeled into a Tuscan style villa with guesthouse, spa gazebo and outdoor gathering spaces. New custom windows and doors were added to give a more open feel to the house and provide seamless access to the view, garden, and living areas. In this remodel several intimate outdoor spaces were created that include the master bedroom fireplace deck, backyard bbq and fireplace sitting area, al fresco dining bar that becomes part of the kitchen and a fire pit seating area. The homeowner's desire was to have a home where extended family and friends would feel at ease and embrace the casual pace of a California life style; yet, be sophisticated and functional for fundraisers and board meetings benefitting the Elevate Africa Organization, about which they are passionate.

The team will be at the home to answer questions about the Coastal Commission process, products used, design decisions, and design.

Note: not fully accessible due to short stairways. Free street parking.
