Event
Paper Making with Don Widmer (Lion of Bali)
Come learn the basics of making paper by hand. After learning about the ingredients in paper and some basic terminology, students will pull sheets of paper made from cotton fibers. From there, students will learn how to add pigment to fibers to achieve color and to paint with pulp. These handmade papers can be used as a foundation for drawing, painting, printing, writing, or bookbinding. This is a very wet process, so dress down for this workshop. Students will leave with the knowledge to continue making paper from their home or studio with easily accessible materials. $25 entry, Maximum: 10 people; email: dawnmarie@voiceofthecity.org
