LEVEL B Theater Pub's Standup Comedy concert series returns with one of the most beloved and long-standing professional comedians in the Northwest, Susan Rice (Comedy Central, HBO Comedy Festival, Bridgetown Comedy Festival). Featured are local comedians John Mink (Semi-Finalist - Oregon's Last Comic Standing), Eric Alexander Moore (Improlympia Comedy Festival), and Adena Leibman (Helium Comedy Club).
SUSAN RICE
For 31 years Susan Rice has been sharing her quirky sense of humor with audiences young and old. She is funny, familiar and that is probably the reason she's still single. She is never a stranger. Rice is the kind of comic who makes everyone consider their own wacky relatives sane.
Raised in the Pacific Northwest Rice still resides in Portland but lived and worked in Los Angeles for over 15 years. She has performed all over the US and Canada and has been seen on Comedy Central, Showtime and was a featured performer at the HBO's Comedy Festival at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and Portland Oregon's Bridgetown Comedy Festival and is now working with Relay for Life to help groups raise funds to fight cancer.
She has performed with some of the greats including Jerry Seinfeld, Paula Poundstone and Maria Bamford. She has done all the comedy shows of the 90's A& E's Evening at the Improv, Showtime's Comedy on the Road All Stars.
When asked recently why she chose a career in standup comedy Rice replied, "It got to a point where making people laugh on the bus just got annoying.
With all her years in comedy Rice has maintained her love of the art. "It is such a privilege to make people laugh it crosses all boundaries of age and sex and gives everyone a moment of respite from their everyday troubles. It's good for the soul."

JOHN MINK (co-producer)
Offending crowds became hobby, with a pungent tone of freewill to promote the underdog's scorecard. His raw-dog antics have been seen all over the Northwest, performing his own style of "Guerrilla Comedy;" surprise shows. Plugging in a small amp, in random bar or tavern, only to be thrown out by his teeth with threats of trespassing. Mink was a semi-finalist at Oregon's Last Comic Standing and was the host of Salem Idol 2014. Capitol City Theater regular. Hosted a weekly comedy show for 6 months in Salem's Oldest Bar, Noble's Tavern. He frequently hosts shows with names such as Andy Andrist (Man Show), Bobcat Goldthwait (Police Academy, God Bless America), Todd Armstrong (Permanent Comedy). Mink's favorite shows are in small dark alleyway bars where the underbelly of America can be found, in hopes of starting the revolution. www.johnmink.net
