Honky Tonk Masquerade - Unplugged!
ALERT: Due to the current Arlington parking ban and the approach of our umpteenth major snowstorm of the season on Saturday, we regret that we'll have to cancel the Feb. 14 Honky Tonk Masquerade show at St. John's Coffeehouse. We're in the process of rescheduling, so if you have tickets, you can either get a refund, use them when HTM is rescheduled; or use your tickets at our next show on March 14 with the amazing Lori Diamond and Fred Abatelli. You can also still show your tickets for the 10% discount at Jose's Mexican Restaurant on Valentine's Day. And whoever's doing the snow dance, it might be time to stop! We hope to see you on March 14 - tickets at http://diamondfred.bpt.me. As always, our concerts benefit the Arlington Food Pantry and Affordable Housing.
LISTEN: http://honkytonkmasquerade.com/music Honky Tonk Masquerade Unplugged brings together the core members of Boston's hottest country/western swing outfit. In their acoustic incarnation, they branch out from their core of vintage country and hot western swing, into the old-time, bluegrass, blues and jug band traditions.
At the center are the compelling vocal harmonies of Susanne Salem-Schatz and Martin Grosswendt, whose duet singing is receiving rave reviews. Add hot fiddle and vocals from Art Schatz, and vocals with a swinging doghouse bass from Michael Harrist, and you have the ingredients for a recipe that is sure to please.
The band's members each bring decades of experience playing American roots music to the band, and it shows in their skilled musicianship and engaging performances. Featuring hot picking and fiddling, with top notch vocals, their performances bring a delightful balance of music that will touch your soul and set your feet a tappin'.
