LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON
Join host Fred Craden for an exploration of the nature-vs-nurture debate after seeing acclaimed filmmaker Kore-eda Hirokazu's film about two Japanese families who are upended when they discover their sons were accidentally switched at birth
When hard working and wealthy Ryota and his wife, Midori, learn that their 6-year-old son, Keita, is not 'their' son because the hospital gave them the wrong baby, they are faced with a seemingly impossible decision to make. Seeing Midori's devotion to Keita even after learning his origin, and communicating with the disheveled but warm family that has raised his biological son for the last six years, Ryota questions himself: has he really been a 'father' all these years? This is a moving story of a man who finally faces himself when he encounters an unexpected wall for the first time in his life.
