Ben Rhodd Speaking Event
Ben Rhodd is a Potawatomi/Choctaw archeologist from South Dakota who will be joining us November 7 and 8 to share his wisdom and message. Ben has been a Sundance leader for 35 years and recently was a guest elder at a NW Regional Sundance. He is one of the founding members of the World Archaeological Congress (WAC) which was honored by Nelson Mandela for its early stand against apartheid. During his tenure with WAC (1992-2002), Ben traveled the world extensively working on a variety of indigenous and non-indigenous culturally related geo-political issues. Ben currently works with Oceti Sakowin, the western division of the Lakota nation, to protect the Black Hills from exploitation by multi-national corporate interests.
Ben Rhodd is an inspiring speaker who helps connect the spiritual and political dimensions of western and indigenous cultures.
