THE PLAYER KING
The MET Theatre and Spurred Productions present THE PLAYER KING
Darin Dahm's powerful, critically acclaimed, one-man performance returns to the Los Angeles stage.
The lives of the Booth Family actors -- father Junius Brutus, and sons Edwin and John Wilkes, come to life in this dramatic tour de force performance.
In the year following President Lincoln's assassination, Edwin Booth (perhaps the greatest Shakespearean actor in American History) has been forced to quit the stage due to his brother's heinous crime. Will the sting of this familial tragedy ever fade? Will Edwin ever be able to return to his beloved stage?
Part memory play, part soliloquy, "The Player King" is Edwin's personal investigation of his life and his art. It asks the soul-searching question "What does it mean to be an actor?"
