Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving Tournament
It's that time of year again, the Silicon Valley Roller Girls are bringing you a triple serving of derby deliciousness in this all-day, Thanksgiving-themed single elimination tournament! It's the second annual Gobble Wobble! Mark your calendars for Saturday November 22, 2014 in beautiful Downtown San Jose, CA at South Hall, 435 S. Market Street!
All levels of skaters welcome, as long as you have passed your WFTDA minimum skills assessment and can safely scrimmage/bout. Levels of skaters will be mixed and spread across all teams fairly.
Women will be formed in 4 teams to compete in a single-elimination tournament. Men & Women will be formed into 2 teams and play each other for a single co-ed showcase bout. Juniors will also form 2 teams and play each other in a single bout. Juniors will be full contact with every third jam being positional so that the juniors who aren't ready for full contact can play also. Teams will be "themed" using Thanksgiving foods & colors (DUH BEST HOLIDAY EVER). Canned foods will be collected at the door and donated to Sacred Heart Community Service in San Jose. Registration will be $10 for the co-ed/junior bouts, $15.00 for each skater participating in the elimination tourney.
Last day to buy tickets is Saturday November 8th. Team assignments will be e-mailed out on November 10th.
NO ADMISSION FEE for spectators how ever we are suggesting a $5 per person donation and or canned food donations in lieu of admission fees.

You must have insurance (USARS or WFTDA) to skate. We will be playing by the WFTDA rule set.

(If you want to skate in both the co-ed and the tourney, please buy a ticket for each for a guaranteed spot. OR note so in the questionnaire section and just buy a tourney ticket, first priority will be given to those who just sign up for co-ed, then tourney skaters who want to do both will be filled in if slots are open.)
