MHB Barrel-Aged to Perfection Bottle Release Party
Join us for the very limited release of these three exceptional beers, aged for months and months (each varies, see below) as they make their debut on the world-wide craft brew stage.
Torulus - Umbrix, our rye imperial stout aged in a 4 Roses bourbon barrel for 9.5 months
Brunus Robustus, our robust porter aged in a Elmer T. Lee whiskey barrel, and aged for 15.5 months
Grazias Jack, Grazias aged in a Jack Daniels barrel, and aged for 7.5 months.
Both Torulus and Brunus are 100% barrel aged, with the Grazias featuring a brewer's blend 70/30 of barrel aged to fresh Grazias (70% barrel).
Purchase all three as a set! Only 200 22-Oz bottles (sets) of each will be produced.
Here's a bunch of important stuff:
Special Release bottles (set of 3) will be available for pick up beginning October 15, 2014 at noon.
Bottles will be available for pick up ONLY at the Mike Hess Brewing Tasting Room in North Park (3812 Grim Avenue, San Diego, CA 92104) starting on October 15th at noon. Bottles may be picked up seven days a week during normal tasting room hours (Sun-Thurs 12p to 10p & Fri-Sat 12p to 12a), with the only exception being Thursday 11/27 as the tasting room will be closed in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. LAST DAY for pick-up of bottle purchases will be Monday, December 1st, 2014, at close of business (10 pm).
***Bottles not picked up at by 10pm on 12/1 will be considered abandoned by the purchaser and ownership of the bottles will revert back to Mike Hess Brewing Co.
PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE BOTTLES UNLESS YOU CAN PICK THEM UP BY 12/1/14. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED IN THE EVENT OF ABANDONMENT, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Pick up Instructions:
You must present some form of your CONFIRMATION EMAIL from BPT, either hard copy printout or on your handheld device. You will need to have a valid bona fide PHOTO ID as well. Valid forms of IDs are limited to current (not expired) Federal or State issued IDs with a photo, name, and birth date of the ID holder. This list is limited to State issued driver's licenses, Passport or passport cards (either international or domestic), as well as state issued photo ID cards, and Military IDs which meet the above qualifications (photo, name, and birth date). The purchaser's name on the BPT list must match the name on the photo ID. The purchaser MUST BE OVER 21 years old before the start of the sale (10/02/2014). Bottles will not be released to a proxy, nor will they be released to purchasers who are not of legal drinking age (such bottles will be considered abandoned and no refunds will be issued).
Shipping Policy:
Mike Hess Brewing will not ship this release to purchasers. Bottles will only be released to purchasers in person at the North Park Tasting Room (3812 Grim Ave, San Diego, CA 92104). Please see Pick up Instructions above. No alternate methods of pick-up will be allowed.
Return or Refunds:
All sales are final. Mike Hess Brewery will not exchange or refund any bottle sale. No refunds or exchanges will be made under any circumstances. MHB guarantees the quality of the product at the time of packaging. Once the bottles leave the possession of MHB, they are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Furthermore, these beers are ready to consume responsibly once in the possession of the purchaser and chilled to a proper serving temperature. If the purchaser plans on aging these beers, the purchaser does so at their own risk. While we take measures to prevent contaminations and infections, barrel aging beers present an element of ingress for such flaws. Aging packaged beer can sometimes accentuate these flaws and bring them to prominence. Our tests do not suggest a presence of any flaws in these bottles, these warnings are not meant to alarm, but rather inform the purchaser in the event that they choose to age the beer. These bottles are bottle conditioned, and considered a "living beer" and unless an extended conditioning time is suggested at the time of pick up, then MHB suggests that the bottles be stored at consistent cellar temperatures until the time of consumption to ensure top quality of the product.

Electronic Order Confirmation is not a guarantee of order acceptance. MHB reserves the right accept or decline an order for any reason, or to supply less than the quantity of bottles originally ordered.
