VA State Beekeepers Assoc Fall 2014 Meeting
The VSBA Fall 2014 Meeting is being held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Blue Ridge Community College, Weyers Cave, VA 24486. This is just south of Harrisonburg, VA. Directions: http://www.brcc.edu/maps/. Speakers include Heather Trobaugh of the USDA Farm Services Agency, providing details on the Federal Government's ELAP program. We will also feature two researchers with Bugonia, an online database where beekeepers can participate in a variety of research projects: Katy Evans, graduate student at the University of Delaware, and Izzy Hill, Director of the Center for Urban Bee Research and affiliated with the Mid-Atlantic Apicultural Research and Education Consortium (MAAREC).
Vendors will include Mann Lake, Dadant, Valley Bee Supply, Beecraft and others. Also, each registrant is eligible for a door prize.
Lunch is available for purchase from the host club, Shenandoah Valley Beekeepers Association. Lunch consists of pork barbecue sandwich, side dishes and a drink. Lunch is $8 with Early Registration, or $10 with Late Registration or at the door.
Registration through this site is available to current VSBA members and expired/non-members. Payment is by credit card. Prices are the same as for mail-in-registrations, with a discount for current members. Early registration here is September 30, 2014 - October 15, 2014. Late online registration is October 16, 2014 through November 2, 2014.
