Art of Food 2014
Slow Food St. Louis, a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and supporting food traditions, is pleased to announce that their annual fundraiser, Art of Food, will be held on Friday, November 7th, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, at The Luminary (2701 Cherokee St, 63118). Proceeds from the event will benefit Slow Food St. Louis' production of over 40 educational events, films, Truck Farm visits and tastings each year, as well as their innovative Small Farm Biodiversity Micro-Grant program, which over the past five years has awarded approximately $60,000 to local, sustainable farmers to grow or raise more than 250 different heirloom varieties of produce and heritage breeds of animals.
This year Art of Food will celebrate the ART of pairing Food, Farm and Libation! The event will showcase the area's top restaurants, serving up delectable hors d'oeuvres using as many fresh, locally produced ingredients as possible, all prepared in the Slow Food tradition.
