About Jaspar:

Jaspar Lepak (pronounced Jasper LEE-pack) is a folk/Americana songstress whose remarkable gift for melody is only surpassed by her poetry. "Singing with the kind of Americana, lullaby ghost of a voice that listeners search for in roots music" (Twin Cities A.V. Club), Lepak is best known for her bell-like voice and introspective storytelling.

A child of Arizona's Sonoran Desert, Lepak started writing songs just after college while living in Minneapolis. Between 2004 and 2009, she recorded five albums, and in the fall of 2009, she left Minneapolis with her husband Kale for Durban, South Africa where they lived for two years. Her music found an enthusiastic audience, and in 2011, she recorded her sixth CD, Forgiving Wind, which Rolling Stone South Africa hailed as an album full of "beauty and original charm." Lepak became a Seattle resident in 2012 and was honored to perform in 2013's Northwest Folklife Festival. She tours frequently between her former homes and her new home in the Pacific Northwest.

About Kristi Stice:

Kristi Stice is a professional musician, composer, songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist with a diverse variety of influences including Leonard Cohen, Jolie Holland, Billie Holiday, and a slight passion for Parisian cafe songs. After completing extensive studies in classical and jazz music, she received a degree in jazz vocals in 2007 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, and returned to her home state of Colorado in 2010.

Ms. Stice is an accomplished performer and teacher. She was awarded the songwriter's competition prize at the St. Augustine Seafood Festival and featured in the entertainment publication, EU Jacksonville. Her comprehensive education led her to team up with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra cellist, Betsy Federman, with creative improvisational performances. She often collaborates and performs with the well-known violinist and songwriter, Rebecca Zapen, at music festivals throughout the U.S. including the Florida Folk Festival at the Stephen Foster Memorial State Park in White Springs, Florida., the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival in St. Augustine, Florida., as well as the Independent Music World Series in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2006, Ms. Stice was invited to perform with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra at Jacoby Hall to harmonize with the world-renown violinist, Mark Wood, of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

After two years of performing with well-known songwriters and musicians in Denver, she proudly introduced her first album, under the willow, which was released on January 26, 2013. With her influence of jazz, classical, folk, and a passion for Parisian folk songs, her music conveys original sounds that vary from traditional folk music, but holds true to the root of her love of songwriting.
