Experience the first vampire film ever made (from 1922), with live music by gypsy-jazz band -- the 29th Street Swingtet.
NOSFERATU: A SYMPHONY OF HORROR is a silent film adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula. Deep in the Carpathian mountains, vampire Count Orlok expresses interest in a new residence and a real estate agent's wife. The landmark horror film is famous for its creepy atmosphere, iconic vampire character, and expressionistic photography. In short, do not miss this seductive nightmare!
NOSFERATU will feature live musical accompaniment by the 29th Street Swingtet. Heavily rooted in the 'gypsy jazz' sound of French swing guitarist Django Reinhardt,
the 29th Street Swingtet also draws upon various different jazz oriented genres including be-bop, blues and Latin. In further completing their unique and eclectic sound, the group also infuses the sounds of pop, ska, hip-hop and world music. The 29th Street Swingtet ardently seeks to revitalize
the age of jazz swing in a youthful and energetic manner.
