Anawan at Bowery Poetry Club
Anawan has been making forward-thinking music in NYC for years, and with their third album forthcoming on New Amsterdam Records in November, they are poised to establish themselves as an important musical group at the intersection of new music and folk rock. Led by Trevor Wilson, the group has established an idiosyncratic niche; intricate five-part harmonies, nylon guitar, and a syrupy bed of electronics and synths to create a rich and delicate atmosphere, chaotic and free.
