THE GIN GAME
River City Repertory Theatre opens its ninth season with the winner of the 1978 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, THE GIN GAME which stars Academy Award nominee MARGARET AVERY (The Color Purple).
The show examines the growing relationship between two elderly people in an assisted living situation who come together over a game of cards.
Their lives and their past open up revealing intimate details which they use as secret weapons against each other. Slowly, they forge a friendship during their daily recreational activity, a metaphor for the twists and turns of life.
