The Apple Whisperer: An Afternoon with John Bunker
Few people in the world know as much about apples, apple history and culture, and apple agriculture as John Bunker. The author of several books on the subject, co-founder of the Out on a Limb apple CSA through Super Chilly Farm in Palermo, Maine, John is a national treasure, not to mention tremendously engaging teacher.
Rosemont Market is proud to announce a special event with John on Sunday, October 12. We'll host this Prominent Preservation Pomologist at Portland's Urban Farm Fermentory, with a tasting of many heirloom varieties, delicious savory and sweet apple snacks from Rosemont Chef Brad Messier, and a full run of UFF's many locally produced hard ciders.
The low ticket price includes great bites to eat, a free flight of UFF's ciders, and opportunities to talk with John and press cider using UFF's traditional press.
The event is designed for the whole family, and admission is free for children 13 and under who are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
A cash bar serving UFF's hard ciders, kombuchas and more, will be open.
