Horror Hosts...of HORROR Presents: Zombeatie and the Cadaver Cat
The Yellow Sign Theatre presents Horror Hosts...of HORROR! This is out tribute to the late night monster movies and the over the top hosts that presented them. From Vampira to Ghoulardi to Elvira, horror hosts were a major influence on American humor, building local community, and actually inspired many of the great directors of the 80s to become filmmakers.
HHoH recreates "that night" in your adolescence, hanging out with your friend in his folks' basement, drinking stolen beer, and making fun of each other and stunningly bad horror films. Interactive and participatory pieces within the audience (beware of Dad!)join with the stage performances of WYST's horror hosts to create a night you';ll never forget...because you already lived something very much like it and miss it!
October 9, 10 and 11, HHoH features Zombeatie the Zombie beatnik and his partner The Cadaver Cat as they try desperately to avoid work, make the scene with jazz and (really bad) poetry, and inflict on the audience the classic Bob Clark film, "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead THings."
