This is a FREE Admission event. Secure your tickets here as there will be limited seating.
Curator: Ruth Cowing
Genre: Children's short films
Summary:
A collection of 14 films that creatively illustrate life and imagination for children. Three of the films were made with children involved in the creative process. There are films from five countries, including a film made in Rochester (at the School #8 afterschool program).
Several of the films have gentle social messages (sharing, being grateful, hard work, friends come in all shapes and colors) and films that stress diversity of race, income levels and gender.

Maccupation - A story about a squirrel named Mac, who finds an enormous acorn. Greedily he boards himself in his home with the acorn to keep his newfound treasure to himself. Over time Mac gets bored and lonely and comes to realize the value of friendship.

Donald - A shoebox turns into a stage, animating a Scottish tale told in ballad form by the characters in the story.
My Mum is an Aeroplane - Mothers can have all kinds of different occupations and skills, but not many children have an airplane as a mother! A young boy imagines his mother to be an airplane traveling to exotic lands.
Pohyper - A characters swims between planets and every time he touches one, his T-shirt changes color or design. When he lands, the same thing keeps happening to him and his friends.
