Join the Everett Philharmonic on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 7 PM for the exciting conclusion to our fifth concert season! Listening to our listeners' requests, we are delighted to present a program specially selected by our audience.
Like bookends on the shelf, we will open this season finale with the same wonderful Philharmonic Fanfare (R. Strauss) as we opened this season. It's a delightful way to showcase our expanded brass section and begin this program.
OPERA onstage with the Everett Philharmonic! Beginning with the rousing Overture from La Forza del Destino, we will then be delighted to welcome two exceptional vocalists to our stage. Megan Chenovick, soprano and Ryan Bede, baritone will perform arias and duets by Rossini, Mozart and Verdi. How uplifting and fun!
The finale to this concert and our 5th season will be the captivating Capriccio Italian by Tchaikovsky. With this orchestral suite he left us a portrait of Italy that lives on in concert halls around the world. These captivating melodies will keep you humming all the way home. Dr. Paul-Elliott Cobbs will share his insights and historical details at the pre-concert stage side chat at 6:00 pm. Our wonderful soloists will likely join our Maestro for some of their own comments. (You will also be able to get your first choice of seating for the concert!)
This is a unique opportunity that you won't want to miss!
