Mona Lisa in Camelot
Jacqueline Kennedy, Andre Malraux and the Mona Lisa, an icon, a genius and a masterpiece. Learn the history behind the first blockbuster museum exhibit in US history. In 1963 under the backdrop of Soviet aggression in Eastern Europe and Cuba, France lent Da Vinci's painting to the US as a symbol of western advancement. Learn the  behind the scene role of Jacqueline Kennedy in this extraordinalry endeavour and how she used her great intelligence and charm to persuade the French to do the unthinkable! If you are a Francophile, a Kennedy admirer, an art or art history lover, a fashion or political affectionado... you must attend this lecture. Margaret Leslie Davis will ONLY appear one night in SF and it will be the Alliance Francaise.
