Gemma Wilcox Productions Presents: The Accident (written & performed by Jonno Katz)
Direct from Australia comes an outstanding physical performer who melds the worlds of story theatre, mime, dance and stand up into a fireball of comic energy. Jonno Katz constructs a refreshingly honest tale of two brothers who are as different as video games and bananas Sebastian "dreams" while Roy "does."
In 2009 soloist Jonno Katz threw caution into the wind and moved to Auroville (www.auroville.org), a universal city in southern India with a giant golden golf ball at it's centre, to make The Accident, a fusion of theatre, dance and comedy. There he met Jeremy Roske, a Hawaiian Capoeirista and Irene Sposetti, an Italian dancer. Together they have come up with Jonno's 5th solo show, the previous 4 being: Uber Alice, Cactus, Jolly Roger & The Spy. Jonno last performed in Seattle at the 2003 Seattle Fringe.
Jonno is an internationally acclaimed actor and director of theatre and film. He has acted in over 40 short films, performed at 50 Theatre Festivals worldwide, made 5 short films, directed 4 full length theatre shows and toured the world as a performer and director. Most recently he directed 2 music videos for Die Roten Punkte.
