Oen Kennedy at the New Revival Coffeehouse
"He's musical, he's subtle, he's irresistible and he has an innate sense of the innocent soul in every one of us. Weaving birdsong and exotic instruments into his music as naturally as dew gathering on the grass, his songs embrace the natural world with a gentle intelligence that is altogether unique." --Marilyn Rea Beyer, WUMB 91.9
Oen Kennedy is a uniquely gifted artist, able to translate his love of life into musical expressions that connect with the soul of his audience. He is an excellent guitarist whose silken voice and perfect pitch intertwine seamlessly with the guitar's melody to share his vision of Nature and the human condition. Oen has a deep love for this world of ours. He combines a naturalist's knowledge with an almost childlike appreciation for the inherent beauty and intricacy of life's creations, from the tiniest of algae to the complexities of human relationships. An avid bird lover, he sings of loons, yellow warblers, and woodpeckers. He sings of family, love, and civil rights. Regardless of the topic, he brings an honesty and passion that kindles a connective flame in the audience. Attending an Oen Kennedy concert is an experience in joy.
Tickets are $15 in advance at Brown Paper Tickets, and $18 at the door.
