The Experimental Theatre Project presents "Hook the Holy Hollow"
What dark comedy ensues when repressed teenage sexuality meets a telephone book listing, and a little homegrown religion gets tossed in! Our young Mormon protagonist Penelope bursts into womanhood, while around her unfolds the haunting "horror show" in her head.
"Hook the Holy Hollow" is written by Roxanne Ray, directed by R. Nina Ruchirat, and has been a Finalist in 4 New Play Competitions nationwide. This performance features the performing talents of Jessica DiSalvo, James DuRuz, Elisa Hays, J. Spyder Isaacson, Andrew Loviska, Tom McIntire, David Nance, Maya Ray, and Sulo Turner, as well as the design talents of Julie Campbell, Amy Christie, Andrew Hamilton, Katie Lawrence, Alison Park-Douglas, Jason Thiroux, and Sulo Turner -- plus Aaron Orensky as Fight Choreographer, Noah Benezra as Light Board Operator, Alejandro Gutierrez as Sound Board Operator, Ashley Ellsworth as Stage Manager, and Julie Campbell as Assistant Stage Manager. Please join us for this satirical look at the challenges of romance and rules encountered by people of every age.
The Experimental Theatre Project of White Cat Productions aims to create theatre and performance that pushes experimental boundaries of both playwriting and production. The Experimental Theatre Project seeks to engage in multi-disciplinary experimentation and innovation, as well as artistic integrity and excellence, in all of its performance endeavors. ETP is particularly interested in the relevance of performance to social and cultural concerns, and strives to explore these issues in theatrical form as well as in content.
