Faculty Select Series: DePauw Chamber Players--"Quartet for the End of Time"
The New Yorker's Alex Ross describes the "Quartet for the End of Time" (Quatuor pour le fin du temps) by Olivier Messiaen as "the most ethereally beautiful music of the twentieth century." On Monday, April 20, the DePauw Faculty Chamber Players -- May Phang (piano), Erica Dicker (violin) and Eric Edberg (cello) -- present a performance of this seminal work in Kresge Auditorium, featuring guest clarinetist Randy Salman and introductory commentary by Professor Scott Perkins.
