Maier Hall Concert Series: Ensemble Electra
Seattle-based Ensemble Electra performs with energy and passion the rich, varied repertoire for recorder, violin, cello and harpsichord, specializing in 17th- and 18th-century music. The group draws on its many years of solo, chamber music and large-ensemble experience to create innovative and dynamic performances. A hallmark of the ensemble is their unique programming, which often combines musical genres from seemingly disparate eras, woven together with intelligence and historic sensitivity.Music of the 17th and 18th centuries plus newly composed works.
