A wild band of musical and artistic parents will throw down a boot-stomper of a fall barn party to benefit Carpe Diem Primary School's scholarship fund, a.k.a. the Carpe Diem Kitty. Jennifer and Craig Sutherland, the Vaudevillian version of American Gothic and generous proprietors of JesusBarn Farm, will host the event. Other performers on the roster are the wacky-smart-physical music Lelavision with composer Jason Staczek and percussionist Aimee Zoe; post-punk-country-rock band Fendershine; solo guitarists Danny Newcomb, Chuck Van Norman and Dennis Bryant; violin and banjo trio Marc Gavin, Stephen Buffington and Tony Liebo; and performance artists Lynelle Sjoberg and Abby Enson. The musical offerings range from classical to other-worldly, and each performer will let the cat out of the bag with a cover of a classic kitty song. Refreshments will include savory and sweet cupcakes designed by Rebecca Lanphear's Gourmet Gleaners; a custom ice cream by Full Tilt Creamery; Dragon's Head Cider; and a signature cocktail by Seattle Distillery. 100% of the evening's proceeds will go to the scholarship fund. This show will sell out! Buy tickets in advance!!
