A Distant Love
The deep love shared by John and Abigail Adams is well documented by the many letters the two wrote to each other over the course of their courtship and married life. Composer Gary S. Fagin and librettist Terry Quinn's two-act opera based on this relationship, A Distant Love: Songs of John and Abigail Adams, charts the long separation the two endured, from the time John spent as an ambassador in Amsterdam through most of the Revolutionary War. This special performance celebrates the Adams' 250th anniversary at the Old Stone House - the site of the largest battle of the American Revolutionary War.
Celebrate their union by helping us present this wonderful production on this most auspicious date by becoming a co-producer, with special tickets and pre-show cocktails!
