Ecco's Spanish Conquest

They came. They saw. They conquered.

One good thing came out of the Spanish conquest of the Caribbean: a one-of-a-kind combination of the flavors of Spain and the tropics. The culinary team at Ecco celebrates this blending of cultures with a unique patio event on Sunday, September 28 starting at 6:30 p.m.

We'll be grilling and serving the following:
* Rum cornbread with spiced butter
* Escovitch of baby octopus, espellete, scotch bonnet, and local smoked peppers
* Ceviche of ahi tuna, coconut, lime, green chile, and ginger
* Grilled whole snapper in banana leaf, jug of sofrito, and chayote and cilantro salad
* Jerk-spiced lamb, rice and shell beans wrapped in escarole, grilled plantain, and mojo and mango chutney

We'll also have a premier tasting of French, Spanish and island rums each paired with a delicious flavored ice cube. You'll be feeling like a pirate in no time.
