Witches Among Us
New American Folk Theatre is very proud to present the World Premiere of Scott Free and Rick Karlin's original musical, Witches Among Us, a satirical musical theatre look at the 1960's, when Witchcraft became a code word for all of the things that Joseph McCarthy didn't like.
Scott Free (Inductee into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame and two-time Outmusician of the Year winner, by the OUTMusic Awards) has written a magical, loungey jazz score to accompany the hilarious new script by Rick Karlin (Inductee into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame and editor of Boi Magazine) tells the story of the secret underground nightlife of a society of "Witches" and the forces who oppose them.
