EXHIBITION - OCTAVIO PAZ: FROM THE WORD TO THE LOOK

Organized by the Instituto Cervantes, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulado General of Mexico in collaboration with the UNAM in Chicago, Loyola University and Contratiempo. The exhibit, curated by Miguel Cervantes and Marie Jo Paz, brings together Paz's artist books, capturing Paz's indelible word through the illustration of renowned artists from Mexico and abroad. Rufino Tamayo, Juan Soriano, Vicente Rojo, Marcel Duchamp, Antoni Tàpies, Robert Motherwell, Balthus, and Cy Twombly give greater meaning to the world of Paz's words in this exhibit; don't miss the opportunity to immerse yourself in the artistry of this homage to one of Mexico's greatest writers. Jorge Hernández will introduce us to the stunning world of Mexican Nobel Laureate Octavio Paz, in conjunction with our exhibition Octavio Paz: De la Palabra a la Mirada. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see one of Mexico's most heralded living authors expound on the life of Octavio Paz.
