The Vent - 9/21/14
Theme - WINNER!
JO STREIT "A Giant Leap of Faith" A million plus fans at the 2010 Championship Parade for the San Francisco Giants is no match for Jo's vision. She has a baseball that needs a specific player's autograph and the grand ambition to take an iconic photograph of the ticker tape parade. A towering 5 foot 2 inches, without any connection to the team or a press pass, her only thought is "what's the problem?"
MOSA MAXWELL-SMITH "Driven to Teach, But I Need a Ride Home" ------------------------------------------------ Oh, second graders! They're cute. They're small. They'll steal your heart.... and your car keys. Mosa got into teaching for all the wrong reasons. Now she wonders if she will ever be able to leave. Literally.
STAN SINBERG "The Wizard of Odds" ----------------------------------- Stan discovers he has a very odd "super-power" - he constantly wins random drawings! Then one night this power is put to the test when Stan has to decide between bucking 100-1 odds to win a grand prize worth several thousand dollars, and getting back together with his ex. Exactly like "Sophie's Choice" except no children are involved and the stakes are smaller by several orders of magnitude.
ANDREA CARLA MICHAELS "I'd like to Buy an E, please" ------------------------------------------------------ "OK, R, S, T, L, N, E, turn 'em Vanna." (Only an E lights up as the last letter of a seven letter "Thing") "OK, solve it, Andrea! Just kidding, give me three more consonants and a vowel."
ADY ABBOTT "Sing a Song of Segway" ---------------------------------------------------------- Ady needs a job. Badly. It looks like she's qualified for this one, but there's a pretty big question - one she's never had to ask herself before. Can she ride a Segway?
