The film cast included James Stewart, Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, Edward Arnold, Spring Byington, Ann Miller, Dub Taylor, Charles Lane, Mischa Auer, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson, and the uncredited Arthur Murray. It was awarded the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director of 1938.

She is also very happy to be on the same stage again with her son Chris.

Edward Dowling
Henderson, G-Man #2

Ed needs no encouragement to ham it up in front of an audience. Ed has performed previously in productions with PCT and Bay Players. He clearly enjoys this cast and director Michael Pevzner. He shamelessly follows Marianne Withington, the love of his life, like a puppy dog in this production.

Bill Driscoll
G-Man #3

Bill only began his acting career in 2009 with the Plymouth Community Theater production of Money, Power, Murder, Lust, Revenge! Since then he has appeared in numerous PCT productions; radio productions of A Christmas Carol (as Bob Cratchet) on WUMD & WATD; The Man Who Came to Dinner and The Matchmaker with Bay Players; Nicky and Dee with The Pinehills Players; The Night Nurse and Signs of Life with The Theater at Hollywood and Vine; and An Evening with Cole Porter with Nemasket River Productions. In addition, Bill served as the voice in radio ads for Sen. Therese Murray's re-election campaigns in 2010 & 2012 and appeared in the short film Don't Let Go released in 2014. In real life, Bill works as a financial planner for his firm, Driscoll Financial in Plymouth.

Brittany Foley
Essie Carmichael

Brittany is excited to be a part of this amazing show! Brittany majored in Theater as an undergrad at Northeastern University and was involved in both performance and technical aspects of productions. Brittany's most favorite role in recent years was Katherine Schaub in Radium Girls while at Northeastern University in 2012. Brittany has also been involved in independent film work for several years. Brittany currently teaches English at the high school level and is the Drama Advisor at her school.

Phil Hebert
Grandpa

Phil's first love is Hollywood and he's been blessed to have worked with over 250 movie stars. He's also done a dozen television commercials. Favorite movie principal roles were Mr. Needlebaum in Maiden Heist starring Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy and Marcia Gay Harden, and The Cutman Mr. Aliano in The Fighter starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, and Melissa Leo. Appearing as The Umpire in the T.V. series Brotherhood starring Jason Issacs may not have been his greatest achievement, but it was his first on-camera speaking role! When not filming, he's on the stage, and favorite roles include The Narrator in Our Town and Scrooge in A Christmas Carol. His most enduring and satisfying roles have been as husband to wife Denise and father to his two fabulous children Marc and Lauren! Also thanks to everyone in the audience who bothered to read this bio.

Brian J. Hurley
Donald

Brian played Sam Craig in the Bay Players' Our Town last year, and has had roles in television since then. He has also performed in Moon Over Buffalo with Curtain Call Theatre and Leading Ladies with the Milton Players. Brian studies drama at Kevin Lasit Studios. He wishes to thank his children- Nicholas, Lucas, and Caroline- and his wife Margaret, who has always encouraged him to follow his dreams. You almost made it Mom, I'm sure you are here in spirit.

Ed Krasnow
Paul

Although Ed has been performing in community theater for almost twenty years, this is his first time with PCT. One of his fondest theater memories is an early 90's production of Biloxi Blues, directed by Michael Pevzner, at Massasoit Community College. Ed has been in many shows including: Lovers and Other Strangers (NRP Middleboro), Black Comedy/White Lies, Little Shop of Horrors, It's a Wonderful Life, West Side Story, Damn Yankees, and as Elwood P. Dowd in the classic comedy Harvey (Massasoit), and most recently 12 Angry Men and Frost/Nixon (CCT Braintree). Ed is thrilled to be working with director Michael Pevzner and this talented group of skilled actors. Ed thanks his wife and three children for their support and encouragement.

Ted Lillys
G-Man #1

Ted has returned to community theater after a long hiatus to get educated, get married, have kids, and work to pay for them. Prior to his current relapse in the performing arts, Ted appeared in musicals (Tony in The Boy Friend, Harry in My Fair Lady, Young Ben in Follies, and Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!) and plays (Young Andrea in Galileo, Rodolfo in A View from the Bridge, and Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol). He also managed a couple of stages, pointed some spot lights, and built a few sets. Recent roles include George Hay in Moon Over Buffalo, Shelly "The Machine" Levene in Glengarry Glen Ross, Banjo in The Man Who Came to Dinner and George the Gardener in Drinking Habits.

Paul McCuen
Mr. DePinna

Paul is very grateful for another opportunity to work with PCT. He has previously appeared with PCT in their productions of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Importance of Being Earnest. He has also performed at The Company Theater in their Winter Shorts Play Festival, Hat Trick Theatre in See How They Run, Lie Cheat and Genuflect, The Mousetrap and as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Milton Players in The Dairy of Anne Frank, and with the Bay Players in Our Town, The Man Who Came to Dinner, The Matchmaker and Glengarry Glen Ross. His brief musical "career", with Hingham Civic Music Theatre, included roles in Carousel and Annie. Paul currently serves as an officer of the Bay Players and is a board member at Marshfield Country Club. As always, he wishes to thank his wife Dottie for her patience and support in his theatrical endeavors.

She gives much thanks and gratitude to Michael Pevzner for giving her the opportunity to participate in this insanely fun show!

Frank Piekut

A veteran South Shore actor and singer, Frank is excited to be joining PCT for the first time with this talented cast and one of his favorite directors, Michael Pevzner. He has performed with Open Door Theatre, Priscilla Beach Theatre, Old Colony Theatre, Curtain Call Theatre and Company Theatre of Norwell. To name a few, Frank's favorite roles include Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, Martin Dysart in Equus, Edward Rutledge in 1776, El Gallo and Hucklebee in The Fantastiks, Daddy Warbucks in Annie and Clarence in It's A Wonderful Life. Nancy is very excited about her involvement with PCT. She has been involved in community theatre since her high school days and has been very fortunate to be asked to take on the reins of accompanist, music director, actress, singer, stage manager, props mistress, director and producer in various theatres and schools. She has been involved in productions at Your Theatre, Nemasket River Productions, Buzzards Play Productions, Marion Art Center, UMass Dartmouth, Bishop Stang, Old Rochester Regional High School, Fairhaven High School, and New Bedford Vocational School. She also teaches acting classes at the Marion Art Center, and serves as the Director for their summer art camp, ArtStart, teaching children ages 5-9, introducing stagecraft through art, music and drama. Through it all, she has met and worked with an amazing array of talented people and learns just as much from those she works with as they do from her.

Marianne Withington
The Duchess

Marianne has been an actress, director, and playwright on the South Shore for too many years to mention. Some of her most favorite theatre experiences have been with Michael Pevzner: first in 1985 with Fiddler On The Roof, in 1988 with One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, and her special favorite under Michael's direction was playing M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias in 2006. Most recently, Marianne directed four one-acts for PCT, one of which she wrote and Michael starred in! By day, Marianne is a music teacher and can be seen running the roads with her fiancee, Ed Dowling.
