826michigan Presents Sweater Weather: A Fall Fundraising Dinner!

On Wednesday, November 5, Chef Brad Greenhill will prepare a special meal for 826michigan's third annual Sweater Weather event, located in a one-of-a-kind warehouse space. Guests will:
*hear from best-selling author and co-founder of 826 National Dave Eggers. *taste a deluxe urban feast created by Chef Brad Greenhill. *learn more about 826michigan's programs which last year served 3,065 school-aged students with over 39,856 hours of one-on-one attention and be part of supporting our work in the year ahead.
VIP reception: 6p to 7p Dinner: 7p to 10p Location: Eight & Sand, 3901 Christopher Street, Hamtramck
Dinner tickets: $100 VIP tickets: $200 (includes meet and greet with Dave Eggers and special cocktail from Two James Spirits, plus dinner)
Proceeds from this event benefit 826michigan's In-School Residencies in the City of Detroit, through which volunteers are organized on a continual basis to support teachers in under-resourced classrooms. This program currently serves several public and charter schools in the city, including James and Grace Lee Boggs School, Golightly Educational Center, and Bunche Preparatory Academy.

Dave Eggers is the author of ten books, most recently, "Your Fathers, Where Are They? And the Prophets, Do They Live Forever?" and "The Circle". He is also founder of McSweeney's and began 826 Valencia at that address in San Francisco in 2002, with educator Ninive Calegari.
