Music In The Mountains at the Prospect Hotel, 5th Annual
Two days of Bluegrass, Country, Folk and Americana Music. Starting at 10am Saturday and Sunday Sept. 28th & 29th. A wonderful collection of original music performed by Pacific Northwest Bands. Enjoy great food, local wines and beers. Craft Booths, Quilt Show and more. Tickets are only $20 for one day or $35 for a 2 day pass. The last weekend of September has predictably pleasant weather for the Upper Rogue's Premier Music Festival where superb bands create their original combination of Folk, Bluegrass, Americana and Country music for your enjoyment. Seated on the lawn of the majestic Prospect Hotel grounds, surrounded by hundreds of spectacular trees you will be entertained with each genre performed by delightful, multi-talented musicians from the Pacific Northwest. Bands performing are Gypsy Soul (who opened last year for the Doobie Brothers at the Britt.) Brooks Robertson, BathTub Gin Serenaders, Sage Meadows and High Country, and more.
Kuzin' Keith will be running the show again as MC.
During the day try some of the best food around from Prospect Hotel's Dinner House staff. Enjoy the deliciousness of Prime Rib French Dip sandwiches, BBQ Prime Rib bones, BBQ Chicken, sweet potato fries, salads and more.
What better way to savor the tasty food and great music than with wines from Crater Lake Cellars, or beer from Southern Oregon Brewery.
While stretching your legs during band breaks, peruse the beautiful handiwork of an elite selection of local Artists and Craftspeople. Arts and crafts are displayed on the grounds and beautiful hand made quilts are presented on the Prospect Hotel veranda.
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a GREAT weekend in Prospect for some 'Music in the Mountains"! Saturday September 27th & Sunday September 28th 2014. SORRY but NO PETS will be allowed.
We still have a few rooms at the Prospect Hotel (www.prospecthotel.com) and there are rooms available in Shady Cove and loads of campsites in the area. Make your reservations early! This promises to be another great event at the Prospect Hotel!
