The Snow Maiden: a Russian wonder-tale of love and magic
Saturday, December 6 Sunday, December 7 1:00 p.m.
Sebastiani Theatre 476 First Street East Sonoma, California
With a cast comprised almost entirely of children, ages six to 16, The Snow Maiden is a full-length Ballet and Character dance performance recounting a beautiful Russian folktale filled with love and magic.
Special guest dancer, Evan Johnston, of Benicia, California, is featured as Lel, the Russian shepherd boy who falls head-over-heels in love with the beautiful and mystical Snow Maiden, played by Sonoma Conservatory of Dance's Olivia Cole.
Rounding out the cast are sweet Snow Drops and Icicles, fierce Snow Guards, four powerful Winds, a fun Snow Family, an icy Snow Queen, and many more creatures of wonder from a mysterious otherworld of perpetual winter.
Join our audiences as they ooh-and-aah to the very end: Will Lel win the heart of the lovely Snow Maiden, or will she disappear, melting away with the thaw of spring?
All proceeds benefit the historical Sebastiani Theatre in Sonoma.
Adults: $22 Seniors (62+) and Students with ID: $17 Children (12 and under): $12
