Somi: The Lagos Music Salon
Now back in New York City, Somi dynamically weaves story-based lyrics with global jazz and soul to reflect on her West African sojourn. The result is a socially conscious and deeply poetic body of work that The New York Times hails as "both serious and seductive." This show is a part of The Salon Tour - a national run of performances during which Somi partners with intimate community arts spaces to reflect the original salons she hosted while living in Lagos.
