Chris Klaxton CD Release Party!
A sneak peek at completed album:

William Blake's poem, "The Land of Dreams", set to music by myself and dedicated to my loving nephew, my biggest fan, David Higgins. David recently passed on. His mother and I are currently brainstorming appropriate charities with which to donate the proceeds of this track once the album hits Itunes and the E-marketplace.
Arrangement of Stephen Foster's, "Hard Times"
Arrangement of poet, Cody John Laplante's, "fictional friends"
Musical musings on the vastness of space and the wisdom of Carl Sagan
And for the second album.....well....I'm writing it now!

A BIT ABOUT THE BAND:

Mark Small - saxophone (co-leader of "Bronze" with Walter Smith III, member of Michael Buble's touring band, member of Darcy James Argue's Secret Society. Mark is an incredible talent, a good friend, a good teacher, and loves to eat chicken nuggets.)

Taylor O'Donnell - vocals (has studied with Grammy award-winning pianist, Fred Hersch, Peter Eldridge and Lauren Kinhan of the New York Voices, has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, worked with producer, David Foster, Latin producer, Rudy Perez, and has performed with Donny McCaslin, Fred Hersch, Ben Folds, Lyle Mays, Janis Seigel, and Jamey Haddad. Taylor has been known to pamper her cat, Zoe, to the point where it is a problem.)

Tim Jago - Aussie guitar phenom (finalist in the Australian National Jazz Awards, has performed with jazz great and multi-instrumentalist, James Morrison, has recorded several albums and performs throughout Australia with his group, THE GRID. Tim loves a hearty laugh and a good slasher film.)

Kendall Moore - trombone (has performed regularly with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, has performed with Ahmad Jamal and McCoy Tyner, has arranged for Khristian Dentley, Robert Irving III, the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, and the Chicago Composers Orchestra. Kendall makes a mean turkey burger.)

Mike Effenberger - fender rhodes (member of NYC-based instrumental ensemble, Bing and Ruth, member of award winning indie band, Tan Vampires, has performed with Sam Kininger, Mark Dresser, George Garzone, and Charlie Persip. Mike doesn't speak of it often, but played tuba in the NH Philharmonic Orchestra for a time.)

Josh Allen - bass (has performed with Martin Bejerano, Randy Brecker, Ignacio Berroa, Ed Calle, and Gary Cambell, among many others, performs and records with Negroni's Trio, and appears on their Latin Grammy-nominated album, On the Way. Josh has an Appalachian streak in him and plays some mean bluegrass.)

Michael Piolet - drums (a full tuition scholarship winner for four years at the University of Miami, Mike has worked with Ana Gasteyer, Gary Burton, Dave Holland, Chris Potter, and Benny Golson. Mike doesn't tell many people, but he sings like a baby angel.)
