Opus 7 presents "A Celebration for the Feast of Saint Nicholas" Music by Benjamin Britten
Opus 7 celebrates their 15th Anniversary season with their legendary December holiday event "A Celebration for the Feast of St. Nicholas" - Music by Benjamin Britten for the Holiday Season. Featuring two of the composers masterpieces, "A Boy Was Born" and "Saint Nicolas". This stirring holiday performance as conducted by Opus 7 Artistic Director Loren Ponten, features over 100 performers including tenor soloist, Howard Fankhauser, Northwest Girlchoir, members of the Seattle Youth Symphony and Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, organists Joseph Adam and Clint Kraus, along with the St. James Cathedral Chamber Orchestra and their outstanding youth ensembles: Schola Cantorum, St. Edwards Vocal Ensemble and Jubilate! The audience becomes part of the celebration when they join the performers in singing two songs surrounded by the acoustic splendor of St. James Cathedral.
