As you know, we here at The Barrel Thief like grapes. And one of the best things that can happen to a grape is that it gets turned into Cognac, a spirit of supreme elegance.

On Thursday, September 25th, we'll be offering a tasting of Cognac (and its cousin Armagnac) in our plush Velvet Room. $30 gets you tastes of Cognac & Armagnac from fantastic top small producers, such as A.E. Dor, Paul Beau, Dudognon, Château Fontpinot, Gelas, Château de Laubade, Château Pellehaut, and Tariquet. We'll have VS, VSOP, and XO grades, as well as Hors d'Age (meaning "beyond age"...Cognac over 30 years old!)

This will be an educational tasting, so you'll learn about Cognac & Armagnac grapes, grades, appellations, and styles, how to enjoy them, and what makes these two spirits special in their own ways.

But, most importantly, you'll get to taste a range of fine spirits in a beautiful setting...what better way to kick off Autumn?
