Thomas Pandolfi - American Pianist
Thomas has played concerts in China, Germany, Canada, Eastern Europe as well as throughout the U.S. and has released six CD albums. Thomas' career has already included performances with such European orchestras as The George Enescu Philharmonic, The Cluj Philharmonic, The Oltenia Philharmonic (Craiova), The Moravian Philharmonic, The National Philharmonic of the Republic of Moldova, and The Aberystwyth Symphony in Wales, as well as the American symphony orchestras of Mississippi, Cedar Rapids, Asheville, Princeton, San Angelo, York, Fairfax, Northbrook, Great Falls, and Owensboro. Thomas' performance in Griffin is part of his 21 state recital tour for 2014-15.
While Thomas is classically trained and his orchestral appearances often feature the beloved masterpiece concerti by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Liszt as well as the equally brilliant ones by Paderewski, Rubinstein and Moszkowski, his Griffin concert will feature Thomas' tribute to the popular music of George Gershwin and Marvin Hamlisch. In the "Pops" genre, Thomas is considered a leading interpreter of the works of George Gershwin. Pandolfi's show entitled "One Singular Night" will feature such popular Gershwin and Hamlisch hits as "Rhapsody in Blue", "The Way We Were", "I Got Rhythm", "Embraceable You", and "The Entertainer".
