Bethesda Green Luncheon Speaker Series: Marketing Your Firm to Investors
Speaker: Steven Rogers, Serial Entrepreneur and Co-Founder, Genovation Cars
Start-up businesses are built on many foundations individuals with business ideas or technologies from academia or federal labs. All are trying to address some market gap. When trying to raise funds to support a new business, it is not the idea that is the most important to potential investors. Many founders find this hard to accept because the idea to them, is the foremost reason a new business should exist. Philanthropic-minded investors do care about the idea, but most investors are primarily business people wanting to make a return on their investment. This presentation focuses on how most angel and venture capital investors will look at your business and evaluate its potential return.
