The LA Explorers Club offers bike rides for various skill levels and this is the first of our more advanced rides. This ride is 11 miles in length and includes several hills. Beach cruisers not recommended. It will also probably be hot come September 21, so keep that in mind. This will also be a smaller ride than our past two, so get your tickets early. Riders must be 21 years or older to ride.
Keep LA Beautiful is a bike ride to remind us of the special locations and parks that were designed by key figures in LA history to give Los Angeles a park system that the large East Coast cities didn't have. We will knit together some of these historic parks, starting with Lincoln Park in East LA, and also including Elysian Park, Echo Park and MacArthur Park before ending at Beer Belly in Koreatown. This is a one way bike ride, so you may want to consider using the Metro to find your way back home.
Skill Level: Advanced ride with traffic and hills
Length of Ride: 11 miles
Parking: If you need to drive to the ride, there is free parking at The Brewery.
Transit: This is a one-way bike ride, so use the Metro if you need. Chinatown (Gold Line) is the closest stop to the starting location (Barbara's at the Brewery) and Wilshire/Western (Purple Line) is the closes stop to the ending location.
What to Bring: Bike in good working order, your id, lock, lights, and water.
