Molecular Biology 101: PCR and DNA gel electrophoresis
Learn the basic molecular techniques biologists use! We start by extracting DNA from cells and purifying it. We then amplify the DNA by PCR, and analyze it on a gel to see what types of genes the DNA contains.
PCR is a molecular technique that has revolutionized the biological field. It is widely used in basic molecular biology for human and animal genome sequencing, forensic science, and other applications.
Electrophoresis is a method of separating molecules by size. In this class you will separate out DNA segments that we amplify from plasmid or genomic DNA.
Price includes all reagents.
