Clarinet Fourtet

Clarinets? This ensemble is also known for its saxophone ensemble as seen here in downtown Santa Rosa. Mark Wardlaw, clarinetist with the Santa Rosa Symphony; Jordan Wardlaw, professional musician and son of Mark; Steve Bergman musician and teacher from Fairfax, and Nick Xenelis, principal clarinet with American Philharmonic Sonoma County perform the myriad of musical styles and genresthat are arranged and published for a "4tet" of clarinets and saxophones. Music to delight the ear as well as show off the bravado of virtuosic musicianship.

All of the musicians are band and orchestra directors who also teach and perform regularly. Mr. Wardlaw Sr. has been at Santa Rosa High School for 24 years, Mr. Xenelis is Band and Orchestra Director in SR City Schools 25 years before heading the SRJC Orchestra and bands, (teaching at SSU as well); Jordan freelances performing clubs and musicals regularly and Mr. Bergman has been at San Domenico School for 25 years teaching grades 4-12 from rock bands to chamber music to recorders to kindergarteners.
