Small Business Lunch at Halls
The King Street Marketing Group and Halls Chophouse are pleased to present Senator Paul Campbell as our guest speaker for Small Business Lunch at Halls, Thursday, September 4th.

Sen. Campbell is the Director of Airports for the Charleston County Aviation Authority responsible for Charleston International Airport as well as James Island Executive Airport and Mt. Pleasant Regional Airport. Plus, he represents South Carolina Senate District 44 located in Berkeley, Charleston, and Dorchester Counties.

Charleston International Airport is undergoing a $150 million transformation over the next two years to modernize the terminal and add five new gates.

*** What does this mean for local businesses?
*** Will security lines be a bigger hassle?
*** Are we going to lose that small town feeling with a big city airport?

Nearly 2.9 million passengers arrived at or departed from Charleston in 2013. That's a 10 percent increase over the 2012 passenger total of 2.6 million and up from 2.5 million in 2011.

The Aviation Authority management team employs nearly 150 people but more than 1,200 people work at the airports in a variety of positions from TSA agents and other federal law enforcement officers to concessionaires, airline ticket agents and skycaps.

Sen. Campbell's extensive management and engineering experience in the aluminum industry spans more than 40 years. He retired as President of the Southeast Region for Alcoa Primary Metals with responsibilities for smelters in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Indiana.

He is a Clemson University graduate with a BS in Chemical Engineering and earned his MBA from Jacksonville State University. He was recognized and awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters by the Medical University of South Carolina. He is currently working as a consultant through Paul Campbell LLC.

Se. Campbell is past president of the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers (AIME) and The Materials Society (TMS)-two major international professional organizations.

Each month, Small Business Lunch at Halls features a distinguished speaker from the business, civic or political arenas upstairs at Halls Chophouse with an imaginative three-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Matthew Niessner.

Tickets are $29 per person plus tax and processing fee for the luncheon and parking. Doors open at 11:30 AM and lunch is served promptly at noon. Limited seating of 90 participants provides an intimate experience with each speaker.

Halls Chophouse is located at 434 King Street in downtown Charleston. Parking, validated at the event, is available at the Visitors Center Garage on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets.
