Community Series presents Dancing at the Crossroads
Dancing at the Crossroads is a celebration of the American cultural narrative, where Anglo-Celtic and African cultures mixed over the centuries to produce what we experience today. This staged production is filled with inspiring dance, toe-tapping music, and songs to lift your spirit. Presented with live band, songs of the Celtic isles mixed with southern blues and Appalachian folk tunes trace the development of the American song. Like the Irish crossroad dances of old, experience Irish step-dancers, hip-hop dance, English Country Dancing, and American Contra dance all in this theatrical presentation in Ida Green Theatre on the Austin College campus.
