Knife Skills with Perfect Edge
Your most important culinary tools are your knives. Bring your best ones and be ready to learn -- this introduction to mincing, chopping, dicing and boning will change your life in the kitchen. Learn fundamental cuts for vegetables, how to select the right knife for the job, and how to sharpen and care for your knives. Bring a chef's knife, boning knife, and any others you'd like. You can also purchase knives at SHED!
Knife expert and former butcher Mike Solaegui of Perfect Edge Sharpening will teach you how to master basic knife skills and the fundamental cuts for vegetables. He will share tips on selecting the right knife for any job and how to maintain your knives at home.
Perfect Edge Sharpening offers expert services on knife and blade sharpening and restoration. From stainless steel to ceramic knives, they sharpen, reshape, re-serrate, and restore the correct geometry prolonging the life and usefulness of your tools.
Attendees can drop off their knives for Perfect Edge sharpening services to pick up later.
There is a minimum number of participants needed to run this class. Please purchase your ticket ahead of time to ensure the class will run. All attendees will receive a 10% discount on SHED retail purchases the day of the event. Perfect for getting your next knife!
