7th Annual Sk808
The SK808 Tournament is a tournament for individual skaters. We all want to skate in Hawaii but sometimes it's not easy to get an entire team to visit the islands. SK808 provides the perfect opportunity for individual skaters and their friends and family to visit paradise to play and watch top notch derby. Whether you're a fresh meat or advanced skater (and all levels in between), the tournament is made of mixed teams of all skill levels from leagues across the globe!
CAMP AWESOME skater clinic continues to run in conjunction with SK808, and generally happens in the few days leading up to the tournament. It is a separate event coached by several top roller derby athletes from around the nation, and teaches the most recent skills and strategies being taught in roller derby today. Skating the 808:
SK808 is open to female skaters age 18 or older. All skill levels are welcome. Skaters must have passed WFTDA min skills test before skating in the tournament.
All on-skates participants are required to have USARS Insurance; WFTDA insurance is also accepted. If insurance cannot be verified by tournament day skaters will be required to purchase a USARS single event pass to participate day-of the tournament. Personal primary medical insurance is recommended for all skaters. All safety precautions have been taken, but participants skate at their own risk. Skater registration is $45 thru November 30. Skater registration after November 30 is $55. Contact pacificrollerderbyinfo@gmail.com for last minute registration. Fee includes skater registration and tournament t-shirt.For an additional $10, we will take care of adding your name and number to your shirt!
Officiating
Would you like to be a part of officiating crew for the SK808 Tournament? We are always looking for great refs and NSOs. We are offering free tournament registration, a tourney t-shirt, and extra perks and goodies to all Ref/NSO volunteers.
Volunteers can't skate but can still be a part of the tournament. We are always looking for support staff, announcers, security etc. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at pacificrollerderbyinfo@gmail.com.
